The Manx Blind Welfare Society is inviting budding photographers to submit pictures for its 2019 fundraising calendar.
The charity, which provides support and services to almost 600 blind and visually impaired people in the Isle of Man, will produce the calendars later this year to raise funds for the work that it does.
The theme of the calendar is ’Seeing the island differently’ - encouraging photographers to send in photographs of the Isle of Man, showcasing views that aren’t normally seen or from a different angle/viewpoint
Manx Blind Welfare Society volunteers coordinator and events organiser Debbie Thomson said: ’The calendar provides a platform for the island’s talented photographers, and compiling the images is something we look forward to each year.
’This will be the fifth year we have produced a fundraising calendar, and every year we receive lots of wonderful photos for consideration - it is always a challenge to only choose 12!
’However, we want to encourage even more people to get involved this year, and it would be especially pleasing to hear from amateur photographers or anyone with a visual impairment.
’We look forward to receiving an array of bright and colourful photos, showcasing the island in all seasons and weather!’
Photographs for the calendar must be submitted to [email protected] by April 30.
The photos must be landscape in orientation.
Manx Blind Welfare Society has looked after the interests of people with serious sight loss in the Isle of Man since 1936.
