ManxAid is holding a quiz night in aid of local charities later this month.

The quiz night will be held on Wednesday, August 25, at the Fig & Olive on Castle Street in Douglas.

The winners will receive £50 and a trophy, sponsored by St John’s-based furniture and lifestyle brand Home Kandi.

There will be 40 questions on a variety of different topics and the Fig & Olive’s a la carte menu will be open for orders.

A ManxAid spokesperson said: ’The entry fee is £7.50 and all the money raised from the quiz night will go towards people in the island who need it most.’

The charity helps people who need help or necessary equipment, for example a mobility scooter, to cover the cost of these items.
