One of the island’s longest standing charities The League of Friends of Noble’s Hospital has been making subtle changes in 2017 to improve its connection with its members, supporters, Noble’s Hospital and the patients who benefit from its work.
The latest announcement is the intention to change its name to Friends of Noble’s Hospital. This is a move that many other similar charities have already adopted at other hospitals across as a way of modernising and simplifying the link between what the charity is called and what it does.
Chairman of the charity’s board, Chris Kelly, said: ’After 65 years as the League of Friends of Noble’s Hospital we have been working hard this year to update and refresh the way we communicate the important work we do improving the comfort of patients at Noble’s Hospital.
’We have already introduced a Facebook page to compliment our website, refreshed our leaflets and introduced new banners at the main entrance to the hospital.
’Shortening our name is part of our modern, fresh, simplified approach to communicating who we are and what we do.
’It may not seem the biggest change but we felt that whilst The League of Friends of Noble’s Hospital had served the charity well for over 65 years it was in need of a change to reflect the modern age.
’The great news is that our core focus remains the comfort for patients at Noble’s Hospital and we will be continuing to supply our popular courtesy packs and toiletries every month as well as providing presents at Christmas and Easter, Christmas decorations for the wards and funding both minor and major equipment purchases.
’As the Friends of Noble’s Hospital we are looking to the future and making it better for patients of Noble’s Hospital.’
