The Lonan and Laxey branch of Isle of Man Anti Cancer Association had a successful fundraising year, holding many events which included pop up shops and fundraising dinners.

At their recent annual meeting,the treasurer, Julie Eastwood, announced that £10,400 had been raised and would be sent to IOMACA central funds.

This money, along with money raised in other branches, will help to fund Manx initiatives such as The Stay Well Clinic, the printing of information leaflets for cancer patients and for some comfortable reclining chairs for chemotherapy patients at Noble’s Hospital.

The chairman, Christine Carter, thanked everyone supported the charity throughout 2016.
