Singing and piano teacher Christine Barton, of Laxey, has graduated with a master’s degree in creative writing from Teesside University.

She completed the distance learning course over two years with the support of her husband Stan and said she ’absolutely loved it’.

Christine was inspired by a creative writing course at University College Isle of Man led by John Canavan.

She is now writing an autobiographical fiction.
