Isle of Man Young Farmers have released full details of the routes they will be taking on their two tractor runs this weekend.

It’s always a spectacular sight with up to 50 tractors decked out in Christmas lights so come out and cheer them on.

Their southern run sets off at 6pm on Friday evening from King William’s College and heads down the Castletown bypass, through Gansey and Port Erin, past the Falcon’s Nest and onto promenade before heading back through Ballafesson, Colby and Ballabeg and turning up the Ballamodha through Foxdale to St John’s.

Recommended viewing spots include Gansey Bay, Bay View Road, the Colby Glen pub and the Baltic.

The northern run sets off at 4.30pm on Saturday from the Railway Yard in St John’s and heads through Peel onto the coast road to Kirk Michael and up the TT course to Ramsey before heading back along the coast road through Laxey and Onchan before finishing at Rebecca House.

Recommended viewing spots include Shoprite Peel, the Wildlife Park, Parliament Street Ramsey and the Archibald Knox pub in Onchan.

Rebecca House and Isle of Play are the charities that will benefit from this year’s Tractor Runs and you can donate through the event’s Just Giving page.

There is a link to that and full details of the routes on the Isle of Man Young Farmers Facebook page.
