A popular Manx folk and jazz group have been selected to take part in a European song contest.

Clash Vooar, who play funk and jazz music, influenced by Manx music and Gaelic, are one of 20 participants in the 13th Liet International competition, held in Aabenraa, Denmark during the first week in April this year.

The group have entered their song ’Lhiggeyder Folley’, written and sung in Gaelic.

The competition is open to songs written and performed using European minority languages.
