Dean Harrison won a blistering Motorsport Merchandise Superbike Classic TT on Tuesday afternoon.
Harrison led from off, eventually bringing home the Silicone Engineering Kawasaki 16 seconds ahead of Bruce Anstey’s Padgetts 500 Honda in a new race record.
That wasn’t the only record to tumble as Anstey set a new Superbike Classic lap record with a final circuit of 17 minutes 45.348 seconds (127.496mph) as Saturday’s Classic Lightweight winner tried his best to overhaul Harrison at the top of the timing charts.
A delighted Horst Saiger picked up his first Mountain Course podium in third, but such was the pace of the top two the Austrian finished a minute behind the pair.
David Johnson was next ahead of Manxies Dan Kneen in fifth and Conor Cummins in sixth.
Ramsey’s Andrew Dudgeon was an impressive 10th and fellow former Manx Grand Prix winner Dean Osborne 17th.
Roads will re-open between 5 and 6pm with the three-lap Newcomers Manx Grand Prix at 6.15pm.
