The weather is set to improve during the day.

The Met Office forecast for Saturday: ‘Rain at first this morning will die out as a cold front sweeps across the island from the west bringing clearing skies by mid-morning, sunny spells through the rest of the day and just a few isolated showers.

‘The strong southerly wind will turn to the west and moderate, temperatures up to 16 or 17 Celsius.’
