The Co-op in Laxey is to re-open on Thursday after a £625,000 revamp.
Bosses say the new-look shop with sell more goods.
Customers who are members of the Co-op get 5% back on the purchase of own-brand goods, and the Co-op donating a further 1% to good causes.
Causes in the Northern half of the island currently being supported include Laxey and Lonan Heritage Trust, Ramsey Grammar School Association, and Queen Elizabeth II High School Association - with Co-op members able to choose which group they would like to support online.
Chris Bartlett, store manager, said: ’We are delighted to be undertaking such a significant investment in Laxey and we’re confident that the improvements will help us to better serve the community. It’s an exciting time for the whole team.’
Andrew Corrie, area manager, said: ’We want shoppers to know that they can become a co-owner and member of their Co-op.
’Our members make a difference locally and simply by swiping their membership card when they shop with us they are raising much needed funding for organisations on the island who contribute to improving local life.’
