This should be a momentous year for TT star Conor Cummins: he has just opened the doors to his new coffee shop and his wife is expecting their first child.
Located in the heart of his home town of Ramsey, the shop, on the ground floor of Kermode House in Parliament Street, is decorated with a motorcycle theme and seats up to 40 people.
Conor, who also owns local business Coffee Mann, said: ’I’ve wanted to set up my very own coffee shop for some time now and Conrod’s has turned out exactly how I dreamed it would, thanks to a huge team effort from everyone involved.
’My vision was to create a quality "go to" coffee shop in my local home town of Ramsey, serving our amazing Coffee Mann products, as well as a great selection of fresh local food to eat in or take away.
’It’s been hard work, but well worth it and the new team and I can’t wait to welcome the Manx public, TT fans and future visitors.’
He added: ’Now that we’re open for business, my immediate focus is this week’s Northwest 200, before we get stuck in to TT 2018.
’The schedule is going to get a little bit busier come November this year, as my wife Danielle and I are expecting our first child, which we’re absolutely thrilled about.’
