A charity is appealing to our readers to help it raise money by collecting used stamps.

Manx Wild Bird Aid is a charity that rescues and rehabilitates sick, injured or orphaned birds.

Last year its volunteers helped around 850 birds.

The charity relies on donations.

As part of the charity’s fundraising efforts, it collects Oused stamps and foreign currency.

Last year it raised more than £200 from stamps and coins.

Stamps can be UK, Isle of Man, international, used or new.

They can be cut out from envelopes and parcels, just leave a small border around the stamp of a few centimeters.

Coins do not have to be sorted. They can be donated as mixed currency.

Manx Wild Bird Aid can even accept any coins no longer in circulation or damaged.

Any donations can be posted to MBWA - A/O Paige Havlin, 13 Victoria Place, Douglas.

IM2 4ET. There is a parcel box outside if you would rather drop off any donations.
