The chairman of Ramsey Commissioners, Andy Cowie, attended a service marking the closure of two community churches in Ramsey: Waterloo Road Methodist and Trinity United Reformed.
Both congregations have now merged and are using St Paul’s Church Hall for weekly services.
Mr Cowie said it was a poignant occasion.
’These two buildings hold a significant amount of town history,’ he said. ’I commend both congregations for undertaking such a brave decision and wish them well in the future.’
