Subject to certain conditions, developers have been granted permission to build 10 dwellings with associated roads, landscaping and parking at Caine’s Yard, The Shipyard, Ramsey.

One of the conditions is that Ramsey Commissioners be paid an agreed sum of £12,000 against the shortfall in public open space.

This must be paid prior to the first unit being occupied.

The commissioners have agreed to this sum, which will be spent on providing or enhancing a public amenity elsewhere in the town.
