Taylor Jake Murphy has previously denied burglary, stealing a car, possessing a knife, and theft.
But pleas to the wounding charge, as well as two counts of robbery, can only be entered at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
He was due to be committed to the higher court on April 14, but that was delayed because evidence was still awaited.
Committal was due again on April 28, but defence advocate David Reynolds asked for it to be delayed until May 5, for time to review the committal papers.
The offences are alleged to have been committed on October 5 and 6 at Maughold and Port Cornaa.
Mr Murphy, aged 20, of High View Road, was remanded in custody.
