Daniel William Kelly, aged 31, of no fixed address, appeared in court on Thursday via video link from the prison.

He is charged with unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under 16.

The offence is alleged to have been committed on March 25.

The case was due for mention only on Thursday (December 22) and committal to the Court of General Gaol Delivery is due to take place on January 19.

No bail application was made and Mr Kelly is remanded in custody.
