Diogo Miguel Monteiro Ramos, aged 31, of Cushag Road, Douglas, has denied a domestic abuse offence.

It is alleged to have been committed between January 18 and January 26.

He also pleaded not guilty to common assault on a female, alleged to have been committed on August 27 last year.

Mr Ramos was represented in court by advocate Ian Kermode.

A pre-trial review will be held in summary court on April 20.

Bail continues in the sum of £500 with conditions to live at his home address, not to contact the complainant, and not to leave the island without court permission.
