Jude Sneddon, aged 32, of Heather Crescent, Pulrose, has denied driving without insurance.
He also entered a ‘no plea’ response to a charge of driving while disqualified.
The offences are alleged to have been committed on August 10.
He was represented in court by advocate Stephen Wood.
A pre-trial review will be held in summary court on April 20.
Bail continues in the sum of £500 with a condition not to drive and to live at his home address.
