Jamie Anthony Cowin, aged 24, of Groves Road, Douglas, has pleaded not guilty to driving while under the influence of cocaine and benzoylecgonine.
The offences are alleged to have been committed on November 10.
Benzoylecgonine is a metabolite of cocaine but the substances are charged separately.
He was represented in court by advocate Jim Travers.
A pre-trial review will be held in summary court on April 25.
Bail continues in the sum of £500.
