A 42-year-old Douglas man has admitted assaulting a police officer and being drunk in public.

Phillip Neill Baillie appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse on July 30.

The offences were committed on July 9 at Castlemona Avenue in Douglas, and on July 12 on Douglas Beach.

He has also previously admitted threatening behaviour on July 9.

He was represented in court by advocate Paul Glover, who asked for all matters to be dealt with together.

Baillie, of Paramount, will be sentenced in summary court for all offences on August 27 after a probation report has been prepared.

Bail continues, with a condition to contact probation services and to co-operate in the preparation of the probation report.
