A 41-year-old has admitted stealing custard tarts, hash browns, and coffee from the Duke Street Co-op.

Adam Alan Cowin previously denied the offence but has now changed his plea to guilty.

Another theft charge, relating to items allegedly taken from Top 2 Toe in Ramsey, has been dismissed.

Cowin has also previously pleaded guilty to two other thefts, on March 12 and 14.

He's also been scheduled for a trial on December 3, after denying stealing sunglasses from an Opticians.

Cowin, of Bircham Avenue Close, Ramsey, made his latest court appearance via video link from the prison, and was represented by advocate Paul Glover.

He’s already subject to a suspended sentence imposed after he stole a Hospice charity box.

He is remanded.
