Carl Francis Kelch, aged 32, of Clifton Terrace, Douglas, has appeared in court charged with escaping lawful custody.

The offence is alleged to have been committed on October 25.

The case was adjourned until January 18 at the request of duty advocate Winston Taylor who said that Mr Kelch wanted time to instruct his chosen advocate Paul Glover.

Bail continues in the sum of £500.
