Alistair John Cowin was sentenced this morning to four years and three months in jail.
Cowin, who lived at Taubman Terrace before he was jailed, was found guilty of making threats to kill his sister at trial last year.
He also admitted to scalding a prison officer with hot coffee whilst on remand awaiting his sentencing.
