A 24-year-old driver has been fined £120 for speeding at 46mph in a 30mph zone.
Kaitlyn Claire Gale, of Ballaughton Villas, Douglas, appeared before magistrates recently.
Her licence was also endorsed with four penalty points.
Prosecuting advocate Harry Bellis told the court that the defendant was driving a Volkswagen Golf on October 8, on the A5 Douglas Road in Castletown.
She was stopped by police after they recorded her travelling at 46mph.
Gale was said to have tried to resolve the matter by way of a fixed penalty notice, but had been unable to pay the £120 in full.
Magistrates also ordered prosecution costs of £50 and gave her a month to pay the fine and costs.
