A 56-year-old Ramsey man has been fined £600 for having no lights or registration on a trailer.
Declan O’Sullivan sent a postal admission to both offences and was also ordered to pay £50 prosecution costs.
Prosecution advocate Hazel Carroon told the court that police were informed of the trailer being towed on the Mountain Road on November 18 at 5.20pm.
O’Sullivan’s vehicle passed a police patrol at the hairpin and they followed him, then stopped him at May Hill in Ramsey.
He said: ’Is this to do with the lights on my trailer?’
Magistrates fined O’Sullivan, who lives at Royal Park, £400 for failing to display lights, and £200 for having no registration.
He was given 28 days to pay the fines and costs.
