A Douglas woman has pleaded guilty to a charge of harassment.
Lisa Marie Bashforth had previously denied the offence and a three-day trial was due to take place from February 2.
However, the court heard that she had changed her plea to guilty after the prosecution agreed to remove one of the two names mentioned in the charge.
A charge of fraud by false representation was dismissed after the prosecuting advocate Roger Kane offered no evidence, saying that the allegation was part and parcel of the harassment charge.
The court heard that Bashforth, who is 38 and lives at Clarke Street, is due to be sentenced at the Court of General Gaol Delivery in relation to theft offences on March 18.
Mr Kane said that the harassment offence was a summary court only offence so it could not be sentenced at the higher court.
He asked for the harassment case to be adjourned until March 24, to allow the higher court sentence to be imposed first.
Defence advocate David Reynolds asked for a probation report to be prepared before sentencing.
Bail continues with a condition to contact probation.
