The police are looking for new recruits to the Special Constabulary and will be holding drop-in sessions starting Monday.
A police statement said: ’This is an exciting opportunity to experience first-hand frontline policing and to assist the Isle of Man Constabulary in protecting and safeguarding the island’s residents and interests.’

Informal "drop-in" sessions are being held to enable those interested to pop along for an informal chat over a cup of tea or coffee and to ask questions of serving Special Constables.
The drop-in sessions will be held at the following times and locations:
Monday February 13 - 6pm-8pm Douglas, Sea Terminal (Costa)
Friday February 17 - 6pm-8pm Ramsey, Town Hall
Monday February 20 - 6pm-8pm Peel, House of Mannin coffee shop
Thursday February 23 - 6pm-8pm Castletown, Coffee Republic
Saturday February 25 - 10am-2pm Douglas, Sea Terminal (Costa)
The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday March 10.
