A Jurby motorist who drove at 43mph in a 30mph zone has been fined £330 and handed five points.
Stephanie Ann Brown, aged 39, of The Threshold, was clocked by police performing speed checks, while she was driving a BMW on the A18 Mountain Road in Onchan, on April 5.
Brown was banned from driving for two years in October 2023, for driving under the influence of diazepam, but has since taken the required extended test.
Appearing before magistrates, she was represented by advocate Andrew Baker, who asked the court to impose less than six points, as Brown was under R Plates, and six would mean a ban.
