The trial of a man accused of stealing £1m has been halted.
Garry Vernon, who is charged with five counts of dishonestly transferring money from the bank accounts of his wife’s late grandfather, will now face a retrial on January 25.
His trial was halted after three days last week when a member of the jury came forward to say they knew one of the police witnesses.
Mr Vernon, aged 52, of Glen Auldyn, Ramsey, denies all five counts of theft.
