Three men have appeared in court jointly accused of property damage after a cottage was vandalised at Groudle Glen.

Human faeces was found in a microwave oven, vomit on beds and a carpet, glass and a lamp were smashed, and doors were punctured with holes at the property.

Todd Crellin, aged 20, of Cronk y Berry, Douglas, entered a not guilty plea to the charge, while Finn Dennis Ledwidge, aged 21, of Manor Park, Onchan, and Dylan McGeown, aged 18, of River Heights, Douglas, are yet to enter pleas.

Prosecuting advocate Rebecca Cubbon told the court that the cottage was left insecure from December 31 to January 3.

The damage was discovered by a housekeeper on January 3.

Deputy High Bailiff James Brooks accepted summary court jurisdiction and a pre-trial review will be held for Mr Crellin on March 22.

He was represented in court by advocate Stephen Wood.

The case against Mr Ledwidge and Mr McGeown was adjourned until February 1, at the request of their advocates, Joseph Burrows and Paul Rodgers respectively.

Bail continues for all three parties in the sum of £500.
