A visitor was this morning fined £3,000 for flying a drone near the course during racing.

Alex Matthew Shrimpton, aged 23, of Rayford Close, Dartford, Kent, admitted the offence and was ordered to pay the fine, plus costs of £125, forthwith or face 180 days in jail.

He was arrested yesterday near Sulby Bridge and appeared before magistrates this morning.
