A weekend music and arts festival in the north of the island is the latest casualty of the restrictions concerning the coronavirus.
The Dark Horse Music announced on Tuesday that they were postponing this year’s festival until 2021.
The three-day music event, the largest of its kind in the island, was due to take place at the Silly Moos campsite, in Lezayre, from July 24 to 26.
Indie rockers Penelope Isles (above) and the UK DJs Stanton Warriors, featuring Kosheen singer Sian Evans, were lined up to headline the night entertainment.
Also set to feature were a whole line-up of local and international artists, along with arts, cultural and holistic health and well-being areas.
A statement from the festival organisers said: ’In light of the serious nature of the current spread of the coronavirus, it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the postponement of this year’s festival until July 23, 2021.
’We appreciate that some of you may need a refund and we are more than happy to provide this for you, minus the booking and transaction fee.
’However, if you would be prepared to keep your ticket until next year, we would be very grateful as this will help us enormously to ensure the future of the event.
’If you do require a refund then please make sure the person that made the booking contacts us directly using the original email address.
’You will need to send an email requesting the refund to: [email protected]
’Social distancing is key at this time and we wish you all a safe and healthy few months ahead.
Love and Light, the Dark Horse Team.’
