Jamie William Leneghan, aged 34, of Ballafurt Road, Port Erin, has appeared in court charged with five offences.
He is accused of failing to provide a blood sample, drug-driving, possessing a prohibited article in a public place, speeding, and having a vehicle in a dangerous condition.
Mr Leneghan was represented in court by advocate Paul Rodgers, who asked for an adjournment until August 29 saying that video footage from the police custody suite was awaited.
Bail continues.
