A couple from Douglas will face a three-day trial from October 30 to November 1 in summary court.
The male has previously denied wilfully assaulting a child, while the woman has denied common assault on a female.
We have not named the defendants in order to protect the identity of the child.
The man was represented in court by advocate Stephen Wood while the woman was represented by David Reynolds.
Bail continues for both parties.
