Demolition of the former mart and associated buildings in Bowring Road, Ramsey, is expected to take place as soon as the Festival of Motorsport is over - in the first week of September, say Ramsey Commissioners.

The company contracted to carry out the work will be preparing the site for two weeks prior to the actual demolition .

It is likely that a road closure will be in place for several days, possibly a week, while the buildings are taken down.

A repair notice served by the commissioners on the owners will be held in abeyance until the work is completed.
