A number of events are to take place in Douglas to get people into the festive spirit.

Tomorrow (Saturday) and ice sculpture will be unveiled on the corner of Regent Street and Strand Street.

Crafts, food and drink will be available to buy from stall holders at the Douglas Christmas market from December 14 to 15.

This will be held in the former Shoprite building in Chester Street from 10am to 5pm on both days.

On December 19 a nativity with donkeys, horses, goats and sheep will entertain people in Villiers Square next to Regent Street. Non-alcoholic mulled wine will be given out at the free event.

The last Saturday before Christmas (December 21) will see the Christmas Stage Show Extravaganza outside Isle of Man Bank on Strand Street. A number of bands and choirs will perform in aid of various charitable causes from 10am to 5pm.
