The Chief Minister, Treasury Minister and Enterprise Minister will give an insight into the draft ’Island Plan’ at a Chamber of Commerce business breakfast event sponsored by Ravenscroft.

MHKs Alf Cannan, David Ashford MBE, and Dr Alex Allinson will be speaking at the Comis Hotel on Friday, January 28 from 8am to 10am at the ’Three Ministers’ event which is open to Chamber members only.

The draft Island Plan sets out government’s strategy to build a ’secure, vibrant and sustainable future’ over the next five years. It is due to be considered by Tynwald on January 18.

The Chamber event provides an opportunity to find out more about the draft plan, and for audience members to question the Ministers.

Chamber boss Rebecca George thanked the key speakers for agreeing to attend, and Ravenscroft for sponsoring the event. She said: ’This is an excellent opportunity to hear first-hand from the Chief Minister, Treasury Minister and Enterprise Minister about the plan and their own vision, reflections and objectives for the island.

’We also expect to hear the latest news about the outcomes of the initial phases of the Isle of Man’s Economic Strategy, and the next steps towards ensuring that the Isle of Man continues to have a strong and sustainable economy.

’We expect this event to be very popular so we are advising everyone to book their tickets as soon as possible, to avoid disappointment

Will Corrin, director of Ravenscroft in the island, said: ’We had no hesitation in agreeing to sponsor this event which is one of the highlights of the 2022 business calendar. Covid has changed the world: how we live, how we work and how we travel has all been affected and this is set against an ever-present backdrop of reducing our impact on the planet for the benefit of future generations.

’We look forward to an engaging and lively debate about how we can build a secure, vibrant and sustainable future for the Isle of Man.’

Chamber will provide a Slido link so that questions can be submitted in advance of the event. To book tickets go to the events tab at www.iomchamber.org.im
