Martin Ian Nowak, aged 42, of Hailwood Avenue, Douglas, has appeared in court charged with drink-driving.
The offence is alleged to have been committed on November 8.
He was represented in court by advocate Jim Travers, who asked for an adjournment until March 30, saying that the alleged reading, which involves an expert’s back calculation, is only just above the legal limit.
Mr Travers said that time was therefore needed to review the case papers.
Bail was granted in the sum of £500.
