It will be a dry morning but showers are forecast later.

The Met Office forecast for Monday: ‘This morning will be dry with sunny intervals before scattered showers develop this afternoon, perhaps merging into a longer spells of rain for a time.

‘Breezy with a fresh to strong west to southwest wind, with a top temperature of 7 or 8°C.

‘Showers will continue to affect the island this evening and tonight, once again merging into a band of rain later in the night.

‘A fresh to strong south-westerly wind with minimum temperature near to 3°C.
