Plastic duck racing is returning to Laxey today.

It is going to be a bigger event than in the past, when ducks were raced down the river on Glen Road.

It was not held last year because of the pandemic.

The new event will be held on the washing floors of Laxey Valley Gardens and begin at noon.

There will be bouncy castles, food stalls, local stalls, a Bushy’s beer tent, live music, two performances by the Purple Helmets motorcycle display team as well as the duck races.

The Bushy’s Senior TT Duck Race begins at 12.30pm and the the Junior TT Duck Race at 2.30pm

In the junior race, the general public will be able to buy a ticket for one or more ducks in the chance of winning £150 for the first duck to make it to the finish line.
