King William’s College students can play to their hearts’ content on the school’s brand new pianos.
The college’s music department has welcomed the arrival of four Kawai K300 upright pianos following a donation from the Friends of KWC.
In November, the school auctioned off some of its old pianos after the donation was confirmed and ordered the new instruments.
Director of music Steve Daykin said: ’The purchase of these pianos was made possible thanks to a generous donation from the Friends of KWC and it represents a significant investment in music at King William’s College.
’They will serve the pupils of KWC well now, and for many years to come.’
Friends of KWC is a committee of college parents who raise funds for the benefit of the school and its pupils. The group has previously raised money for science equipment, minibuses, sofas and picnic tables.
