Kensington Arts has announced its summer workshops.

The creative events will take place from August 7 to 18 and are designed for participants aged eight to 18.

The first workshop will focus on summer photography, with participants taking part in Wildtrack’s ‘New Beginnings’ Summer Photography Project.

Classes will include equipment handling, photography walks, editing sessions, with the end project being a extraordinary gallery showcase.

This workshop takes place between August 7 and 11.

The next workshop will be on musical movies, and will take place between August 7 and 18.

The workshop will run over two weeks and will introduce people to the crossover of stage and screen, with attendees learning songs and dances from musicals such as Wicked, Legally Blonde and Mamma Mia.

Participants can take part in either one or both of the two weeks of the workshop.

The last workshop of the summer will be on the theme ‘Summer of Art’, and will run from August 14 to 18.

There will be a schedule of imaginative and creative workshops, including fish sculptures, fairytales, Arctic animals canvas painting, crafts inspired by Andy Goldworthy, and a Super Mario day of games and slime-making.

Prices for these summer workshops start from £5 per day.

A spokesperson for Kensington Arts said: ‘We believe in making creative activities accessible to all.

‘That’s why they offer workshops at such affordable prices, ensuring that everyone can develop their skills.’
