A world acclaimed expert on the subject of dyslexia is to visit the island this month.
Dr Gavin Reid, whose visit will be sponsored by The Manx Dyslexia Association (MDA), will be providing talks for education professionals and parents.
Dr Reid has delivered training and consultation and provided assessment around the globe, including Vancouver, Edinburgh, London and Dubai.
As well as being the author of many books about dyslexia, he is a consultant to organisations such as The Open University and the BBC.
Teachers and other education professionals in the island will be invited to attend a training session, which is aimed at benefiting children with dyslexia by continuing to educate those who work with them. The MDA will send out separate information through employers.
Parents who have an interest in the learning difficulty are welcome to attend Dr Reid’s presentation at 7pm on September 17 at Keyll Darree, Noble’s Hospital.
