Pupils at Scoill Phurt le Moirrey were inspired to think about their future careers with an event that saw representatives from a range of industries pay a visit.

Year three pupils (ages seven and eight) were asked to draw and write about what they would like to do when they grow up.

Volunteers representing a range of different careers then went into the school to speak about their work, answer questions from pupils and then speak to the children in small groups.

The panel comprised of snowboarder and YouTube host Brandon Cain, Port Erin vet Jessica Cross, Dawn Dickens of the Manx Wildlife Trust, Amy Coole of LoveTech, marine biologist Michelle Heywood and Allison Fox of Manx National Heritage.

Scoill Phurt le Moirrey is part of a pilot education scheme that is called ’Inspiring the Future’.
