Dance and drama students at Queen Elizabeth II High School in Peel have taken part in energetic workshops.

The 14- to 18-year-olds were taught by ’Frantic Assembly’ practitioner Gavin Maxwell.

The school says Frantic Assembly creates ’thrilling, energetic and unforgettable theatre’. Its physical style combines movement, design, music and text.

Jenna Withey, head of performing arts, said: ’The workshops have been a fantastic opportunity for the students in the west of the island to work with a professional performer trained by Frantic Assembly.

’Frantic Assembly creates inspirational theatre that uniquely links movement, sound and drama.

’The students were given lots of unique frantic exercises to explore and then advice on how to enhance their own devised performance work.

’The work created in such a short time was professional and exciting to watch and was a wonderful opportunity for all the students involved.’
