More than 50 exhibitors showcased the island’s diverse range of employment opportunities at the annual employment and skills fair.
The event was held at the Villa Marina last week and was attended by students from secondary schools across the island as well as adults seeking or returning to work or considering a career change.
It was organised by the Department of Education and Children and the Department of Economic Development.
Education Minister Graham Cregeen MHK said: ’The annual employment and skills event is vital in showcasing the wide variety of jobs and careers offered by Isle of Man companies while raising awareness about what employers require and how people can improve their own employability.
’It’s important that we have the vocational, employment and skills training in place to nurture local talent, support our growing industries and future proof the island’s economy.’
He thanked the ’continued support of the island’s businesses and schools in making the event a success’.
