A charity set up to help young arts students has given more scholarship awards.
Arts Aid was established in 2018 to give financial support to Manx arts students and help them fund their studies.
Eight more students have been selected by Arts Aid to benefit from scholarships during the 2019/20 academic year.
Each of the recipients will be studying in programmes in the UK that range from GCSE at a specialist music school to a Master’s degree at a leading performing arts college in London.
Music, acting, musical theatre and dance are all represented among the scholarship recipients.
This year’s awards follow the four inaugural grants made in 2018.
Arts Aid seeks to make a difference for students in situations when government funding is unavailable, or students have need of additional financial support.
David Wertheim, chairman, said: ’It is a great privilege to be able to help these remarkable and exceptionally talented young people reach for their educational dreams.
’The quality of the applicants is amazing and is a testament to the remarkable level of talent and achievement in the performing arts here in the Isle of Man.
’Arts Aid’s aim is to assist these talented young people on the next step in their personal development. We wish them every success.’
