It’s the end of an era for Castletown police station.

Officers officially moved out of the Baillie Scott-designed station opposite the entrance to Castle Rushen and into new purpose-built accommodation at the civic centre.

The team’s Facebook post states: ’We wave a fond farewell to the old Castletown police station that has served the community for so long, and say hello to our new purpose built accommodation within the commissioners’ offices.

’Although its sad to move from such an historic and iconic building, our new home offers us a better working environment, more space and better facilities.’
