Musicians will gather in force at St Matthew’s church in Douglas next week for a free summer concert.
Works by Mozart, Handel and a host of other popular composers will feature in the concert on Tuesday evening.
St Matthew’s church organist John Riley will be joined by musicians from around the island, including Max Smith from St German’s Cathedral.
As well as music for organ and piano, including the Cuckoo and the Nightingale concerto by Handel, Mr Smith will play some organ solos.
Singers Debbie Gooding, John Rimmer and Paul Lewin will also be taking part, as will clarinettist Tim Price, whose pieces will include a movement from Mozart’s
clarinet concerto.
The concert is at St Matthew’s, on North Quay, Douglas, on Tuesday, June 19, at 7.30pm.
The concert ends with refreshments and a retiring collection in aid of the organ fund.
