Hello Little People celebrated its second anniversary by performing its latest original production in the grounds of Milntown.

Wet weather saw Michelle James and Chloe Shimmin have to move bookings from the Saturday to Sunday, but despite that, the Big Birthday Adventure was enjoyed by more than 300 youngsters.

Michelle told Island Life they ‘had a ball’, adding: ‘Over 300 explorers joined us for a Big Birthday Adventure like no other.

‘We managed to crack the clues and get our party bags back from Snotterpot Jimmy!’

She added: ‘ We are moving straight onto our next project which will see Hello Little People exploring a different medium to connect with over the winter months. Keep your eyes peeled!’

The children’s theatre company was launched in 2020. Highlights include their Covid video, Be Safe, Be Smart, Be Kind, commissioned by the Isle of Man Government, reaching more than 200,000 views in 2021. And in June, the pair featured in the BBC1 show Countryfile.

Its first children’s theatre show, A Beg Adventure, first staged in the grounds of Castle Rushen to sell-out audiences.

Big Birthday Adventure saw the pair return to Milntown following their sell-out April show, Easter Adventure.
